Thiago Menezes hails from “o País do Futebol” (“the country of football”) or as we know it, Brazil. Before signing for the Rino’s, Thiago played professionally for various clubs in South America and Europe. Impressively, he was also picked to represent the Brazilian National Futsal Team in 2010 and 2011.
You might be wondering how Thiago signed with the Rino’s Fury? Well, we owe a lot of credit to our Chief Scout & Co-Founder, Robert Freedman, who picked Thiago up at YVR and convinced him to sign under the Bosman Ruling as a free agent. Since then, Thiago has lit up our left side with Brazilian flare and plenty of South American passion and there are rumours circulating that Thiago holds the record for the most nut-megs in the VMSL (TBC).
